Dedicated to serving the graduating members of Carnegie Mellon’s dramatic and cinematic arts, WCDAC strives to support and cultivate graduating students’ transition to exciting careers in the professional world. We do this in a number of ways, including producing the annual west coast Showcase, hosting ongoing workshops, sharing experience, monthly planning meetings, and casual cocktail hours. The WCDAC is an opportunity for alumni to get involved – to deepen connections with each other in a town where solitude can be overwhelming, and where a creative collective is paramount to success.
The WCDAC operating fund is used for ongoing programming, the annual Showcase, and supporting new alumni members.
The WCDAC Scholarships including the Lee Miller Award are annual cash prizes, awarded to deserving students who are graduating in that year.
The Cletus and Barbara Anderson Production Fund was established by friends and alum in 2005 to help underwrite School of Drama productions. Cletus Anderson was a professor in the School of Drama. Barbara Anderson was a professor of drama and design in the College of Fine Arts.
